What is Jazz?

Jazz dance is an expressive art form characterized by its unique combination of isolation techniques, sharp movements, and soulful expression. At NSOS, jazz training encompasses a wide range of styles from classic Broadway jazz to high-energy commercial and contemporary jazz.

Our classes build on a foundation of jazz technique while encouraging students to develop their personal style and stage presence. Students progress from fundamental isolations and basic combinations to complex multi-directional choreography.
