Grace. Precision.
Poetry in motion.
The foundation of all dance training. Classical technique that builds posture, strength, and artistry — for ages 3 and up.
What is Ballet?
Ballet is the fundamental discipline that forms the basis for all other dance styles. At NSOS, we view ballet not just as a rigid set of rules, but as the essential architecture of movement. It requires dedication, but rewards students with unparalleled grace and physical control.
Our curriculum focuses on developing proper alignment, classical technique, core strength, and musicality. Whether a student is aiming for a professional stage or simply wants to build confidence and posture, our ballet program provides the necessary foundation in a supportive, community-first environment.
What to wear
Leotard, tights, and proper ballet shoes are required. Hair must be securely fastened in a traditional ballet bun to allow for clear head movement and spotting.
Class structure
Classes follow traditional progression: barre work for warm-up and technique, center floor adagio, and across-the-floor combinations.
Progression
Students advance through our level system based on technical proficiency and physical readiness, not strictly by age alone, ensuring safe development.
